Kuo, Lien-Yin Memorial

Each year in Portsmouth Square, Chinatown, San Francisco: Guang Ping and Tai Chi students gather to show respect for Professor Kuo, Lien-Ying on the occassion of the anniversary of his passing.

In the late 1960's, Professor Kuo brought the rare Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi form to the United States. The Guang Ping form is considered the "Secret Yang" or the lost system of Yang Tai Chi. Some consider it to be the missing link between the older version of Chen and the popular and modern form of Yang Style.
